If all parents can agree on one thing, it would be that their lives revolve around their children and their health.  Since 1924, Riley Hospital for Children has comforted parents around the world with their compassionate care, dedicated pediatric physicians, and top clinical staff.  Riley Hospital for Children is Indiana’s first and only comprehensive pediatric hospital, and hosts more than 245,000 inpatient and outpatient pediatric visits annually from all around the world.  Its affiliation with the Indiana University School of Medicine makes them the only comprehensive pediatric clinical resource for the children of the state of Indiana.  Riley Hospital is consistently recognized as one of the top premier pediatric research facilities in the nation.  They cover medical procedures from simple acute routine care to the most medically complex cases with their pediatric specialists of every field of medicine and surgery.
As one of the nation’s largest and most comprehensive outpatient care facilities for children, Riley Hospital has the world’s largest pediatric sleep disorders center, one of the nation’s three largest autism treatment centers, and many more distinctions that separate them from other pediatric centers.  Riley Hospital also focuses on community outreach in the form of Community Education and Child Advocacy, and offering continuing education programs for health care professionals.  Their impact on their community is proved through their consistent high spots in national rankings.  For example, Riley Hospital was ranked among the top 11 children’s hospitals in the nation by Child magazine, had 5 specialty programs ranked among the top 30 children’s hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, and ranked among the nation’s top hospitals for 11 straight years by U.S. News & World Report.
Most if not all of this was made possible by the Riley Children’s Foundation, a philanthropic leader for Riley Hospital for Children and its research programs.  With a vision of “every Indiana child well and well cared for”, Riley Children’s Foundation follows its values of passionate commitment to children, ethical leadership, responsible stewardship, a culture of service, and a pursuit of excellence to reach their goal, Riley Children’s Foundation uses over 80 cents to the dollar raised support Riley Hospital (the other 20 cents are used for fundraising expenses).  Now, the hospital, a camp that serves youth with physical disabilities, and a museum honoring James Whitcomb Riley are all projects supported and sustained through the fundraising efforts of Riley Children’s Foundation.
